Yes. Our upholstered furniture is made exclusively in our workshop in Vlotho. Every piece is produced only after your order and is individually configured and upholstered for you.
Yes. Individuality is one of our particular strengths. Depending on the model, you can choose from many fabrics, colours, patterns, wood finishes and other design options and combine them individually.
The result is a dining sofa tailored to your personal interior style.
A dining sofa is designed specifically for comfortable seating at the dining table. Seat height, seat depth and upholstery are coordinated to provide an appropriate dining position while retaining the comfort of a sofa.
Yes. Excellent seating comfort is especially important to us. Our dining sofas combine a comfortable position at the table with supportive upholstery – from breakfast through to a long evening with family or friends.
As a rule, you should allow around eight weeks for delivery to your retailer. Depending on the retailer, final delivery to your home may take a few additional days.
Our upholstered furniture is neither stock furniture nor mass-produced. We begin production only after your order: the frame is prepared, your chosen upholstery fabric is ordered and your sofa or wingback armchair is then upholstered individually.
The result is not an off-the-shelf sofa, but a piece made individually for you.
We sell our products exclusively through specialist bricks-and-mortar furniture retailers. There you can see and try our furniture before ordering and receive advice on fabrics, colours and available options.
We supply numerous furniture retailers throughout Germany. On request, we will be happy to send you a list of retailers near you.
Our upholstered furniture is deliberately different from industrially mass-produced furniture. Every piece is made individually to order and manufactured exclusively in Germany.
We also use high-quality materials, selected upholstery fabrics and offer extensive scope for individual design. You are therefore not ordering an off-the-shelf sofa, but a piece configured and made specifically for you.
Our furniture is sometimes visually imitated. If you would like to know how to recognise an authentic Barnickel piece, you can find further information on our information page about originals and copies.
Many of our models can be individually adapted. The dimensions and configurations available depend on the particular model. Your retailer can advise you which model is best suited to your required dimensions.
That depends on how the furniture will be used. Easy-care upholstery fabrics are often a good choice for homes with small children. With pets, smooth and hard-wearing fabrics are generally preferable. Your retailer will be happy to advise you when choosing a suitable cover.
Our retailers can show you the available fabrics, colours and patterns and advise you on combinations. If you are looking for a particular fabric or colour direction in advance, please contact us.
Our upholstered furniture is designed and built for a long service life. How long a piece actually lasts will always depend on use, care and the upholstery fabric selected.
The cover is often the first area to show signs of wear. Choosing a fabric suited to the intended use can therefore make an important contribution to longevity.
Your retailer can advise you on selecting a fabric to suit your requirements. You can also find further care information in our Product passport.
Yes. Because every piece is made only after an order is placed, many details can be individually configured. Depending on the model, different upholstery fabrics, colours and patterns can be combined.
The result is a sofa or armchair that genuinely suits your personal style.
Yes. Our furniture is designed for longevity, and many models can later be re-covered or reupholstered. Robust frames often make it worthwhile preserving a high-quality piece rather than replacing it.
